About the Artist

When it comes to aesthetics, life in our modern society has always left me feeling rather underwhelmed. Really, these cold sleek designs filled to the brim with beige are the best we could come up with? Designs so divorced from nature that we have to force nature into the unnatural shapes of lawns and topiary just to make our houses look good?
I've always felt that something important got lost on our artistic journey through the twentieth century. Whatever happened to organic shapes? To color and having a touch of whimsy in life? Why must every office building be forced into the "professional" shape of a glass cube? The answers to these questions never satisfied me. "Reality is boring" they tell me. "Grow up and go make some money" they say. Piss on that! If this is the best reality has to offer, then I say let's make life more like fantasy! Wear elf ears and walk around the woods in your local park. Dress like a bard and play a lute for tips! LARP, if that's your thing. You don't have to be a child or a senseless idiot to engage in fantasy. It's not escapism if you're taking reality and actively making it more like a fantasy.
That is the goal and driving force behind my art. To show people that fantasy and fun are not some childish dream but an ideal to be strived for! Magic may not exist but with our technology evolving so fast, that soon may not be relevant anymore. As Arthur C. Clarke once put it: "Any sufficiently advanced piece of technology is indistinguishable from magic." Let us invent our own magic then and make the world a more wonderful fantastical place. The only thing stopping you is your imagination and probably the laws of physics (for now).
